DONATION OF SURGICAL ITEMS BY ATLANTIC VETERINARY COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND, CANADA.

Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island in Canada, donated a few assorted surgical usable items and a few surgical instruments that would be used to assemble a surgical set. This is through the continued research collaboration that has benefited some of our staff by pursuing their PhD programmes through coursework training in Canada and data collection locally in Kenya.

Some of the staff who are currently pursuing their PhD through the programme include Dr. Peter Kimeli who is about to complete and Dr. Muasya, who finished coursework and is now collecting data locally in Kenya. The linkage with the Department of Clinical Studies has largely been facilitated by Prof. George Gitau, who is pictured presenting the donated items to the Chairman of the Department, Prof. Nguhiu-Mwangi. The department is appreciative for this donation.
