GUEST LECTURE on “THE ROLE OF VETERINARIANS IN WILDLIFE CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT” was held on Thursday January 16, 2020 in the Department of Clinical Studies. The guest was a veterinarian DR. FRANCIS GAKUYA who is the Head, Captive Wildlife Management in the Kenya Wildlife Services. He also discussed the opportunities available for veterinary graduates in the wildlife sector both locally and globally. The lecture was very informative for 5th year veterinary undergraduate students, postgraduates and the academic staff in the department. Kenya Wildlife Services department is one of the collaborators with the Department of Clinical Studies, especially in admitting undergraduate students for attachment and new graduates for internship.
