This report covers a student field visit to Nkareta Sub-Location, Narok South District on 25th March 2012. This activity was an initiative of Veterinary Student Association (V.S.A.) and was carried out under herd health field experiences programme in Faculty of Veterinary medicine. The field day was organised due to the urge amongst students of university of Nairobi studying Veterinary Medicine to participate in the University’s social responsibility activities and the need to get in touch with the job market. The field experiences serves to enhance practical experience for the students in the final (Fifth) year of Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) a key component for them to provide quality upon graduation. Such quality service is a key component for the success of livestock sector in Kenya.
